The Davenport constant of a box
We discuss recent results in the study of zero-sum sequences whose
support, X, is a bounded subset of a finite power of Z or the direct
product of a finite power of Z by a finite abelian group.
In particular, we obtain bounds on the
corresponding Davenport constants and outline a possible strategy
for further improving them.
